Newbuild Homebuy (formerly known as Shared Ownership) is a low cost home ownership scheme which allows you to get your foot on the housing ladder by part buying and part renting your home from Orbit First Step.

Through the scheme you can buy an initial share of between 25% and 75% of the property and pay rent to Orbit First Step on the remaining share. In most cases, you can buy further shares until you own the property outright.

If you have a long term disability and are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance and other benefits you could also be entitled to buy one of Orbit First Step’s New Build HomeBuy (formerly Shared Ownership) properties. Please click here for further details on how this scheme operates.
